Creating handmade stoneware pottery to be used and treasured for generations to come.
When I take a soft moldable piece of raw clay in my hands, as I feel and work the clay, preparing it to be placed on the center of my wheel, it is often the breathtaking natural beauty of the New England landscape that inspires me to transform that lump into something beautifully useful. My imagination and my hands become one. Using locally motivated colors, textures and botanicals, I allow our vibrant surroundings to lend their comfort and homegrown appeal to my one-of-a-kind pottery.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts in a family brimming with creativity. As long as I can remember, I have been drawn to form, design, painting, drawing and construction of things that please my soul. The amazing beauty of God’s creations in nature have inspired me to create forest landscapes painted on roughly sawn timbers and tiny delicate watercolor seascapes. Now, I am inspired to form useful vessels from His earth’s clay, water, and fire. I strive to form pots that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the hands that hold them.
The Lord has certainly blessed me with a loving and supportive family, friends, opportunity, capable hands, a creative eye and willing heart. For all of this, I am eternally grateful. Through my pottery, I can share these awesome blessings with you.
